Creating a Display Shutdown Schedule

Global Configurator's scheduling feature enables you to schedule specific actions to occur for a selected device.  As an example, scheduling is useful to set all network projectors to power off at the end of the day to prevent idle lamp usage.

Note: The display port of a System 5 IP is shown as an example. However, the scheduling function is available for use with many other IP Link and audio/visual devices.

To create a display (projector) shutdown schedule:

  1. Select a Display Port in the IP Link Tree window.

  1. Click the Schedule tab.

  2. Click the Add Schedule button.

The Scheduled Actions Wizard dialog box opens (see below).

  1. Enter a unique name in the Scheduled Action Name field.

  2. Set the desired Schedule Times.

  3. Click Next.

  1. Select the desired Subject Port (device).

  2. Select the Available Option > Power Control - Off.

  3. Click Apply Action.

  4. Click Done.

  5. Repeat this procedure for all devices that you would like to power off at specific times.
